Duplicate File Cleaner Plus does not collect, transmit, store on external servers, sell, or share personal information.

The app does not require an account or user login.

Files and Device Permissions

The app requests access to photos and videos so it can scan supported files, identify duplicate files, organize scan results by category, and allow you to select files for deletion.

File scanning and duplicate detection are performed locally on your device. Your photos, videos, documents, audio files, archives, APK files, and other scanned files are not uploaded to SmartekSG or shared with third parties.

The app may request notification permission to display app-related notifications. Notification permission does not give the app access to the content of your personal notifications.

You can deny or revoke permissions through your device settings. Some app features may not work without the permissions required to scan files.

File Deletion

The app deletes files only after you select or approve them for deletion. Depending on your Android version and device settings, Android may request additional confirmation.

You are responsible for reviewing selected files before confirming deletion. Deleted files may not be recoverable.

Third-Party Services

The current version of the app does not include advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or other third-party services that collect user data.

This policy will be updated before any future version introduces advertising or another service that changes how data is handled.

Children’s Privacy

Duplicate File Cleaner Plus is intended for users aged 15 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

Because the app processes files locally and does not transmit them to our servers, SmartekSG does not maintain a remote database containing users’ scanned files or personal information.

Users should keep their devices secure and review files carefully before deletion.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app’s features, permissions, third-party services, or data practices change. The revised policy will display a new “Last updated” date.
